A few words about us
Let us introduce ourselves
Culiinaria has been for years a place were eating and drinking are just a part of something much bigger: spending time together, sharing, enjoying. Where Italy meets Poland and Italy does the cooking in an uncompromising manner.
The way we cook is simple: the traditional Italian way. We don’t create – only geniuses can create and there are just a few of them – we re-create Italy abroad. We cook a Carbonara the way it is supposed to be prepared and we call it Carbonara! This is our innovation.
Who we are …
… and who we are not!
We are not fancy. We are traditionalist. If you expect your plates to be decorated by small dots of sauce, tiny leaves of baby vegetables or some edible flowers, just remember we don’t do that. We like style but we are not stylish in the way we serve food. Don’t expect us to fill your glass of wine when you order a bottle.
We like people who enjoy the freedom of pouring and drinking at their own pace more than people who like being served. We want our guests to feel like they are at home in Italy, while eating out abroad.
Our Chef
Meet the Chef
Alfredo is from Venice. Having studied and worked at Bologna University were he earned a PhD in the History of the 20th Century. Author of articles and books on the history of Warsaw he decided to follow his passion after a few years of intermezzo in an American Corporation. He started Culiinaria Italiana following the success of Kuchnia Dantego (cooking and reading poetry) a project which took him to many tv shows on national Polish television, and eventually to publish a book on Italian traditional cuisine. At Culiinaria he directs the taste of the dishes, selecting the products and sharing his time between the kitchen, where he cooks and supervises his staff, and the floor where he welcomes his guests.
